Programs and Services
It offers full list of inpatient and outpatient services and programs for adults over 18 years. Detoxification from alcohol is often a vital step in the alcoholic’s road to recovery. Normally, detox lasts between three to five days in which the patient follows a medical program, that significantly lowers withdrawal symptoms until completion of the detox procedure. After the successful detox, the patient becomes ready for the next step of care. Some patients will remain inpatient and others will move to an outpatient care level.
Inpatient Rehabilitation
Mirmont’s Rehab Program addresses the emotional, mental, spiritual and physical aspects of the disease addiction. By participating in educational/experiential sessions, daily groups, individual and family counseling the patient forges an understanding of themselves in addition to their disease which is the foundation of recovery and healing. The rehabilitation stay duration is based on the personal requirements of the patient.
Intensive Outpatient
Mirmont’s Intensive Outpatient Program permits participants to stay at home and continue with their lives while enjoying a supportive and structured level of care which meets three times per week. These 3 hour sessions consist of group therapy and educational components, and are performed mornings and evenings to accommodate participant’s different work schedules. The program may either be the participants initial treatment experience or the next care level after finishing an inpatient program.
Inpatient Dual Diagnosis
Mirmont treatment center’s Dual Diagnosis Program is crafted for individuals who suffer from an addiction and a psychiatric disorder. A dual diagnosis patient can experience major anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, panic attacks or other psychiatric issues. Mirmont’s patients take part in all aspects of this rehabilitation program and also consult a psychiatrist for a full psychiatric evaluation. The psychiatrist meets with the patient if they require medication management.
Dually diagnosed patients take part in mental groups specifically formulated for their specific problems. These groups include Anxiety Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, and Depressive Disorders. The duration of stay for this Inpatient Dual Diagnosis is dependent on the individual requirements of the patient.
Individual Therapy
Client and Therapist meet one day a week to consult and explore problems of early recovery. Emerging themes may be anxiety, stress, depression, relationships, emotional and physical trauma, spirituality and other problems.
Pet-assisted Therapy
Mirmont partnering with PAWS for People, provides pet assisted therapy as an important part of the program. This therapy gives a non threatening outlet for assisting patients work through emotions like isolation, anxiety, fear, anger and sadness. The dogs provide unconditional love, which makes the patients feel great acceptance and comfort.
Pain Management
To assist people manage their dependency and pain on narcotic medication, Mirmont adopts a holistic pain management approach that uses Emotional Freedom Technique, yoga, body scan meditation, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, reflexology and visualization, acupressure and Reiki. Mirmont also includes psycho education and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to assist clients monitor and fix thought patterns around pain.
Outpatient Services
Client and therapist meet once a week to discuss and explore problems of early recovery. Individuals may take part in outpatient therapy as a section of Mirmont’s care, or can begin treatment as an outpatient.
Relapse Prevention
The Relapse Prevention Program is for patients at risk of chronic relapse. Patients get small group and individual therapy to assist them address the fundamental problems that drive them to self sabotage and relapse cycles. Each patient formulates a protection plan to notice warning signs, deal with relapse triggers and prevent a return to addiction.
